A GroupRaise Fundraising Challenge is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for organizations to boost their fundraising efforts through friendly competition. These challenges are designed to incentivize participation and increase engagement by offering bonus donations and special rewards to top-performing campaigns. Here's a general overview of how these challenges work:
How do Fundraising Challenges work?
Challenge Eligibility: Fundraising challenges are typically held around key holidays, special seasons, or significant events throughout the year (e.g., Giving Tuesday, Back to School, Valentine’s Day). To qualify, your fundraising campaign must be active on the challenge day and meet specific criteria such as fitting within a particular organization category (e.g. K-12, college, nonprofit, etc).
Challenge Structure: Each challenge is generally structured to reward the groups that sell the most orders during the challenge timeframe. Some challenges may also include bonus rewards for additional milestones and achievements accomplished during the challenge.
Rewards and Incentives: Challenges usually offer bonus donations and other incentives to encourage participation. For example:
- Top Performers: The top groups or individuals with the most sales receive additional donations or rewards.
- Special Prizes: In some cases, individual team members who excel in certain categories may also earn personal rewards or gifts.
Challenge Duration: Challenges generally run for a 24-hour period from 12:00am PST - 11:59pm PST, though the exact timing can vary. During this window, all eligible fundraising activities are tracked to determine the winners.
Leaderboard and Tiebreakers: Results are tracked on a leaderboard that updates throughout the challenge. This leaderboard will be sent via email to all eligible organizers to share with their community and help drive support for their campaign. If there is a tie for a position, the ranking is determined based on the order in which participants achieved their final score.
